Under the Snow

The fourth grade artists have been printing for the past few sessions.  We were inspired to make these artworks after reading the book Over and Under the Snow.  The lesson taught the young artist the many steps it takes to make print.

We also enjoyed looking at this print and many of the other prints from Banquet Atelier and Workshop

A quick still life before break

The fourth grade had finished their architecture unit before winter break so they created these poinsettia still lifes. Pretty cool.

Texture collage with the Dadas

The fourth grade artists made these collages while they were studying the Dada artists. We learned that this is one of the techniques the Dadaists used. There is also a lot of images on the web that celebrate this technique.
