Sunflower Time of the Year

The first grade students studied Van Gogh and his sunflower paintings. They love listening to the exciting story of Van Gogh's life and they often have a lot of questions about some of his decisions. There is something about his paintings that appeals so much to the students.

Domo Arigato Mr. Roboto

The second grade and kindergarten artists  have been working with the theme of robots. For some reason it is especially popular with the student artists. The second grade artists made 3 color reduction prints in repetition and the kindergarten made their robots from collage materials. Nice work!

Fourth Grade Collaboration

The fourth grade artists came in to the studio to do a little team building. This collaborative work required them to figure out the best way to get everyone to print on everyone else's paper. It was quite confusing until the students figured out that you pass the paper to the other printing stations instead of tyring to walk around and print.The result was a print with an image from all their classmates.

The students will color in the back ground next class period.
